Without wisdom teeth present to push against your other teeth, your dental alignment is preserved and your overall oral health is protected.
Wisdom Tooth Removal Procedure
Dr. Falk, Dr. Moody, and Dr. Yau are board-certified oral surgeons who are qualified to administer all forms of anesthesia. Our surgical staff consists of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to ensuring every patient remains comfortable and at ease throughout the surgical procedure. Our office offers local and general anesthesia, IV sedation, and nitrous oxide. Most patients undergo IV sedation for this procedure, which puts you into a relaxed, semi-conscious state.
During the procedure, your surgeon will extract any erupted teeth with forceps. Impacted teeth may need to be broken into smaller pieces for easier removal. Your surgeon will place dissolvable sutures as needed in the gum tissue, and you will rest until the anesthesia wears off. Our office provides detailed instructions to follow after surgery so that your recovery can go as smoothly as possible.
