What Is All-on-4 Treatment Concept?
An entire smile can be restored in a single procedure. With All-on-4 treatment concept, a customized prosthesis is secured onto the dental implant posts on the upper or lower arch. With the All-on-4 treatment concept, patients are able to eat, speak, and smile with confidence again!
The procedure to place the four dental implant posts is similar to a single dental implant surgery. First, your oral surgeon will prepare you for surgery by administering the anesthesia that was chosen during the consultation appointment. Once you are relaxed and comfortable, the dental implant posts are surgically placed into the jaw. All-on-4 treatment concept uses as few as 4 dental implant posts to support an entire upper or lower arch of teeth—the placement of the dental implant posts are strategically planned in advance to provide optimal support. Over the next several weeks, the posts will fuse with the jaw bone.
Once your oral surgeon has confirmed that the dental implant posts have successfully integrated with the jaw bone, your permanent, customized prosthesis can be placed. A temporary prosthesis may be placed during the recovery period.
