Marlies, 35, is a mom and a food server living in Las Vegas. A few years ago, Marlies was diagnosed with vitamin C deficiency, also known as scurvy. This led her to believe her only option was to get dentures in her 30s. Beyond her own health, her daughter was born full term, but not breathing. She received CPR immediately after birth and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Her daughter needed oxygen for months and spent 14 months in physical therapy. Now, at 2 years old, she’s doing more than was ever expected, uses orthopedic braces for walking, and is an inspiration every single day.
